Its name means “Lord of Strong and Powerful Hand”. In this city we can find the beautiful structures of El Palacio and El Kodz-Poop, a group of piramid temples and the majestic Arco de Cava which is one of the most important structures of this site. Its architecture has a PUUC style with walls of ensembles flat stone, decoration based on small columns, masks of the God Chaac, god of the rain, Its building called Kodz Poop (Rolled Matting) has around 250 Chaac Masks made out of 30 pieces each, designed with sobriety and harmony and each element of the mosaic match perfectly in the set. The city was built around a point and its buildings are comunicated through pathways or sacbés, one of this pathways is the one that starts at the Arco del Triunfo and connects to Uxmal.
